looking over my shoulder.

had an email from my dad that sent tears down my cheeks.

it was basically him reminscing the past, how i was as a kid, he and me doing stuff. he teaching me to play games, and 'losing' to me, we going places as a family, and lotsa good memories really. :)

all the little details of him watching over me when i was young, when i was growing up, and how he has always been a part in all that.

it just gives a nice warm fuzzy feeling inside. to know that someone has really been there through, watching over me, through the big and small things.

during prayer meet just now, it was as if God was saying 'I've been watching over you too, longer than you ever known, and my love to you is never changing. My steadfast love is never ceasing'

had a lecture on congenital heart disease a few days ago and the lecturer talked bit about the development of the heart. how it starts out, how it changes. from that tiny little thing, to a little tube, fragile yet precious, twisting upon itself, as if being molded by a potter, developing slowly. soon the different parts form, small tiny parts in their own time, each with huge implications. And at birth, at the first cry, a huge change in physiology happens. the lungs open up for the first time, and blood gushes through the lungs for the first time. everything changes.

And through all that drama, He was there, watching over me. From that tiny cell, something formless and meaningless, to a little fragile fetus, to a little pink baby, to a fatter baby, through the colourful years of childhood, through the years of teenage, to where i am today. He was there. He was there when i popped myself out of my mother's womb. He was there when i said my first word. He was there when i walked my first steps. He was there when i first held my brother's hands. He was there when i first fought with my brother. He was there when i did all the silly things as a kid.

and He'll be there forevermore.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :)
