Strand 2.... u make so much sense that u are boring, and forgettable. Boring ain't good. Forgettable...even worse.

the only thing i remembered from the many occupational health lectures was there is a law in UK to ensure chairs used by employees sitting for long hours are fitted with wheels. like most computer chairs.

I remember it because my first reaction upon listening to it was..."WHAT ON EARTH?"

Seriously. Seriously? Seriously. Seriously?????

Compulsory wheels for chairs. Sounded so ridiculous that the parliament/scottish executive/whoever who legalized it actually spent time to make that law. 

Okay, i vaguely remember something about occupational asthma, asbestosis and pictures of very dusty villages. Not exactly things i would write for an exam, right?

It's so boring that even cleaning up my room would be more interesting. Or daydreaming. Or differentiating osteoids, osteons, osteophytes, osteocytes, osteoclasts and osteoblasts. Or watching Achmed the dead terrorist on youtube for the umpteenth time.

Of course, occupational health is important. But why couldn't it be more interesting? Hate having to remember stats that would be different by the time i graduate. But things would indeed be different if you put Malaysian stats in front of me. I'd read them with passion. I'd read them because there's a need for change.

Because a doctor is meant to cure the sick, not the healthy. And definitely not to be there to make sure that workers get to sit on chairs with wheels.

The module on Priorities in Health wasn't that bad though. In fact, i was actually interested in knowing how people "upstairs" do stuff here. Health Promotion was beneficial but super draggy. Occupational health is just ... boring!

But never mind. today's li yenn's bday!!! yay! happy bday to the girl who doesn't know how to frown but can laugh all day long without needing to breathe. The girl who puts =) everywhere since i knew you. On my lecture notes, on my hand, on my facebook wall, and best of all, on my face. :)
