18SX

Yesterday i had painfully long lectures about pain and analgesic. Okaylah, not that painful...some parts were interesting. Like how an Edinburgh medical graduate was responsible for starting 2 wars in China following his involvement in the opium industry, while at the same time, he was also partly responsible for the development of opiate drugs as analgesics.

But that aside...Prof McQueen was describing pain when he said this.

"Pain is most of the time not pleasurable..... (short pause)... except that which involve whips and leather."

OH MAN! My grey-haired lecturer didn't just say that i hope.

*lecture theatre burst into laughter*

"Oh, uh, I didn't know about it. I read about it." *Lecturer giggles off while lecture theatre explodes in laughter again*

Today we had a lecture by the great anatomist Dr Findlater. A tall, grey-haired, extremely knowledgable lecturer. The lecture was on an innocent topic called 'Shoulders and Hips'.

Innocent until he said this.

"Your scapula slides up and down your chest wall. You can see it very clearly in kids. I like seeing kids." *awkard smile*

One could sense the lecture theatre went "err..." the moment he said "I like seeing kids". Well, he definitely did.

" I mean i see my children's!"

sigh...

And as the no longer innocent lecture continues, Dr Findlater was explaining the role of movement of hips in walking.

"And i can see the hips moving..."
*stretches hands out as if groping something and moving it from side to side*

-.-"

And he continued teaching about gluteus maximus (the butt la!)

*Grabs his own butt and moves his lower limb in various directions to emphasise the role of gluteus maximus* (ugh!)

And he did save the best for last.

"You can grab your friend's gluteus maximus if you are close enough to your friend."

After something like that, I really didn't want to see anything visual from him....but it was then he decided to teach about "adductor longus" the muscles on the medial part of your thigh...or basically the higher parts of the groin. And he pointed everywhere there, moved it about and.......(okay, for the sake of my readers, i should stop getting too graphic :) )

sigh...my horny old lecturers... :D
