MU beats Chelsea, DC beats DA!

i'm absolutely happy that MU beat chelsea for this year's champions league finals!!!!!! woohhooooo!!!!!!!! they did really well for the 1st half, gave a 2nd half that could trigger arrhythmias, extra time that gave me dyspnoea, and...

darn, i was on the bus when they were at the winning penalties. that's a good thing. i'd have died by then if i was still watching.

YAY!!!!!!!!

okay, i'm a fan. but not diehard. not extreme. at the end of the day, it's still a sport. a game. them winning adds a smile on my face, a lil pride. great stuff to help me remain human. (as you can see in the first paragraph, med school is definitely doing something odd to me! :P)

next. i stayed up to watch american idol finale results show! Watch it just to cure a bit of suspense. I always like to know the ending. Wasn't passionate about it though. Couldn't really be bothered who wins because i kinda like both of them. David A because he's young and i always love to see a young guy succeeding. David C because i like his style which he doesn't really change just to suit certain people. Both have good voices, though very very different voices. But both great.

So the David vs Goliath  David battle ended up with DC winning it! but really, who won didn't really matter because they were both so popular, they would have been successful singers if everybody who voted bought the Davids' albums.

On a side note, i used a bit of 'Deep Heat Rub' for my muscle aches from ice skating. But for some reason, the stingy methyl salicylate smell turned into something that smells like piss after a few hours. absolutely horrific. really don't know what's going on. argh!

plus, i've come to the realisation that i cannot bring jaffa cakes home. the choc on the cakes would almost definitely melt by the time i reach home. :(
