Foreign and irrelevant.

i'm supposed to study, but i just can't.

2 reasons:
1. studied it for friday's exam...quite a portion of it seeped out of my memory...but stale stuff is hard to eat.
2. While studying psychology and sociology related to medicine, which gives us all the things that affect health from the psycho social aspect, i just can't make myself study it anymore.
All statistics and measures are only applicable to UK citizens.
And yes, i can say they have benefited so much from studies into the sociology of uk health, health policies, and healthcare standards.

If i know that people back home are enjoying the same benefits, nothing will be troubling me from studying. But heck.
All the power to change health policies are within politics itself, as well as the people's mentality.
So what if i can become just another doctor? i can probably serve people who aren't really sick, who don't really need that much help compared to so many untreated people.
Unless something is done with our health system.
It needs a revamp.

I'm jealous of brits who can take for granted their healthcare system so easily, because they have everything there for them. Sure, NHS receives loads of complaints, and jokes aplenty are made of them.

But in comparison, i hate to say this but malaysia's healthcare system is in shambles compared to the brits, or any developed country for that matter. Just take a visit to a polyclinic, or go to the rural areas and have a look. Do they deserve what they are getting?

I seriously can't be bothered by health inequalities in britain now, which is so miniscule compared to that back home.

Yet, if i weren't here, i bet i won't be aware of health inequalities. I'd be a bookworm not knowing anything at all.
