bak kut teh for the soul

this is of course la, the malaysian chinese version of chicken soup for the soul.

Malaysians dun really talk sense to their souls. They eat their way to their souls.

A good meal is worth a thousand comforting words. A good malaysian meal is worth a thousand 'lahs' in the land where people are so prim and proper. A good bowl of bak kut teh in a freezing land with food far from malaysian standards is priceless.

Oh did i mention properly cooked white rice? not too hard, not overcooked, not too raw, not risotto like, just chinese plain white rice.

And a few other malaysian chinese dishes with oyster sauce and its likes.

yum yum..

Big big thank you to academic parents cho ee and "take that" meryl! :D super yummy food! and of course that belgian choc cheese cake. Yum. Thousand times better than semolina or weird rice pudding from jmc.

Lovely. Now a restored soul for the new week!

p/s: i just remembered i haven't ate klang bak kut teh!!!! how could i?!
