it's a funny feeling.
i suddenly realise that wanting to not miss anyone at any particular moment can be pretty hard.
i'm home, but i'd be gone soon. last weekend in kuching, but i don't feel like meeting up with people, just spend sometime with family.
see, when you meet up with people and you actually connect, it feels like you leave a part of yourself with them, and take a part of them with yourself.
and when you have connections all around, there's a piece of you in every corner of the world, and with you, many pieces of many people. many pieces i treasure deeply.
even if i don't meet a friend ever again, i still hold that piece from him or her. memories, bonds, in a way, the pieces define me and my life as time goes by. each piece come together like a jigsaw puzzle, forming who i am. but not being able to be together with all the contributors of these pieces, can be a tad sad.
to all my friends reading, regardless of where you are. this goes out to you. i know i'm not really making sense here, my writings muddled up, but that's what feelings are like, often owing reason and often muddled up.
---------------
MY favourite things
Blue skies and sunshine and a cup of teh c,
rows of hawker stalls selling kolo mee,
sarawak laksa, the joy that it brings,
these are a few of my favourite things.
durian and mangosteens, oh and some longans,
guavas and mangos, red sweet rambutans
all the great fruits make me wanna sing,
these are a few of my favourite things.
when i'm frost bite,
when i'm homesick,
when i'm feeling sad,
i simply remember my favourite things,
and then i'd feel HUNGRY!!!
-----------------
funny, i've never intended it to be all food. oh well...
