comfortable growth?

I guess with stubborn, complacent people like me, growing often means getting kicked into the deep end of things. I'll live to learn from it. And these challenges help me grow, but by no means comfortably. Maybe it's time for me to learn my lesson and stop being stubborn and complacent and instead embrace changes with an open heart, with faith that God will provide, love that overflows and expectation that in God, we shall do valiantly.

God, help me to overcome my unbelief. Help me to see the bigger picture. Transform me by the renewing of my mind, so that it can accomodate something as BIG as you and understand not just your acts but your ways. Help me to remember the many times you've been so faithful, so good, so loving, so gracious, so merciful, so real. And let me live in awe of you each of every day of my life. Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
